MERRICK TO FACE THE MUSIC | Chief Justice Roberts Denies Last-Ditch Effort to Save Garland Nomination

|The chief justice of the U.S. Supreme Court MR. JOHN ROBERTS just denied a lawyer’s attempt to force the Senate to consider the nomination of JUDGE MERRICK GARLAND. Roberts today rejected the emergency appeal without comment. Garland plans to return is his former life and start work again at his day job as chief judge of the U.C. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit. Not a bad backup plan.
